The School of Continuing Education(SCE), a secondary school of Nanjing Medical University, offersundergraduate programs for adult higher education, training programs for medical and health workers, and is in charge of the Jiangsu Province Self-taught Examination of Higher Education forMedical Sciences.In the past 50 years, a new system of continuing education with a distinguishing feature, a fairly high level and a quite large scale has been established which is characterized by itsequal emphasis on undergraduate and non-degree programs, and the diversity of its teaching formsand the length of schooling. There are 8 undergraduate specialties and 6 specialties for professional trainingprograms which have so far turned out over twenty thousand talents for various types of health caresectors.The School of HigherVocational Technology(SHVT)   was founded in November, 2002 and offers 3-year and 4-year programs for education of higher vocational technology. There are currently 10,500 students of different categories in these two schools. |
